Munnu Bhai paid tribute
LAHORE : Speakers on Saturday paid tribute to Munnu Bhai over his services for humanity at a programme held in relation to his seventh death anniversary at Lahore Press Club.
Speaking on the occasion, Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique said Munnu Bhai is not a personality but the name of an institution. ‘May Allah Almighty facilitate the path of Munnu Bhai. We all should dedicate our lives to the service of humanity like Munnu Bhai. The Punjab government stands with Sundas Foundation’. Khawaja Salman said Sundas Foundation is providing best treatment and care facilities to innocent children suffering from thalassemia. ‘We will make the mission of Sundas Foundation successful. According to the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, ‘We are striving to provide the best health facilities to the people’.
Speaking on the occasion, Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Ahmed Khan said, ‘We acknowledge the services of Khawaja Salman and the government should patronise Sundas Foundation. Munnu Bhai was a pioneering personality.’
President Lahore Press Club Arshad Ansari, Dr Saeed Elahi, Yasin Khan, Tahir Sarwar Mir, Nasir Naqvi, Muzammil Suharwardi, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami, Khalid Abbas Dar, Haseeb Pasha, Shafqat Mahmood, Arsalan Rafique Bhatti, Khawar Naeem Hashmi and a large number of journalists participated.
