LAHORE:The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Lahore held its 26th Board of Directors meeting at Jilani Park Headquarters, chaired by Chairman Ghazali Saleem Butt.
Director General M Tahir Watto presented a 34-point agenda, leading to key approvals. Daily-wage employees’ salaries were raised to Rs37,000, and a 50pc allowance increase on the 2022 basic pay was approved for permanent staff. Development projects, including the upgrading of parks, picnic, and seating points, were sanctioned, alongside the establishment of restaurants at Jilani Park and along the canal.
Plans for the upcoming Horse and Cattle Show received the green-light, and departmental proposals for improved operations were extensively discussed. Board members also reviewed updates on various projects.
