Arif Saeed favourite to take over POA as president

ISLAMABAD: Arif Saeed has emerged as a consensus candidate to take over as the President of the Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) in NOC elections scheduled for December 30.
Well-placed sources have confirmed that Arif Saeed is backed by the central and Punjab governments and sitting secretary POA Mohammad Khalid Mehmood. “He is favourite to take over as the new President POA with Mohammad Khalid Mehmood who has the overwhelming support of sports federations returning as the secretary POA,” a source close to Arif Saeed confirmed to The News.
