KARACHI: A day after being picked by US President-elect Donald Trump as a presidential envoy for special missions, Richard Grenell on Tuesday tagged a Geo News story on his appointment and made a call for the release of former prime minister Imran Khan.
Tagging a Geo News story on his appointment, Mr Grenell wrote: “I’ll say it again. Free Imran Khan.”Trump announced on Saturday that he’s picked longtime foreign policy adviser Richard Grenell to serve as an envoy for special missions, tasking him with helping the incoming administration deal with some of the toughest foreign policy challenges.A report in the Foreign Policy magazine said that Trump’s pick for intelligence chief represents a step forward for gay rights, but he is not the right person for such an important job.
