Journalist shot dead in RYK
Police launch search operation and registers case against unidentified attackers on complaint of victim’s cousin

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Zafar Iqbal, a 45-year-old journalist and newsagent, was shot dead by unknown assailants while distributing newspapers in Taranda Muhammad Panah, Rahim Yar Khan.
The attack occurred in broad daylight. The suspects, riding a motorcycle, fled the scene. Police have launched a search operation and registered a case against unidentified attackers on the complaint of the victim’s cousin. Zafar Iqbal, a prominent community figure and former councillor, was buried after funeral prayers. Efforts are on to apprehend the culprits.
