Sadiq again appointed special envoy to Kabul
After retirement of former diplomat Asif Durrani no special representative was appointed for Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD: Mohammad Sadiq, who served as Pakistan’s ambassador to Kabul from 2008 to 2014, was appointed as Pakistan’s special representative for Afghanistan after his retirement.
Mohammad Sadiq Khan had been appointed to this position three years before. He retired from the post of Special Representative for Afghanistan in 2023, while former diplomat Asif Durrani retired from the post of Special Representative for Afghanistan on September 10, 2023 and later, no special representative was appointed for Afghanistan.
