Gwadar airport to be operational by month-end
Acting Director General of the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) visits NGIAP on Thursday
ISLAMABAD: The New Gwadar International Airport (NGIAP) is set to be operational by the end of this month.
The Acting Director General of the Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA), Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Zeeshan Saeed, who also serves as the Additional Director General, visited NGIAP on Thursday.
He was accompanied by Deputy Director General Airports Engr. Sadiq Ur Rehman, and Project Director Engr. Faizullah Khattak.
The visit aimed to assess the airport’s operational readiness and engage with representatives from key stakeholders, including the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA), Gwadar Port Authority (GPA), Gwadar Chamber of Commerce, Pakistan Navy, Pakistan Army, and others.
During the visit, Project Director Engr. Faizullah Khattak briefed the delegation and stakeholders on NGIAP’s state-of-the-art features and its significant potential to boost business and investment opportunities in the region.
Expressing satisfaction with the airport’s readiness, AVM Zeeshan Saeed praised the project team for their dedicated efforts in bringing the project close to completion.
