PEC forms 8-member working group for institutional reforms
Working group to identify loopholes in PEC’s Rules of Business and review current structure
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) has formed an 8-member working group for institutional reforms.
Engineer Lieutenant General Kashif Nazir will be the chairman of the PEC working group, while Engineer Akhtar Abbas Bharwana will be the co-chairman. According to sources, the working group will prepare the feasibility of e-voting to make the PEC elections transparent and will work for digital transformation at the PEC.
The working group will also identify loopholes in PEC’s Rules of Business and review the current structure and governance model.
The working group will propose changes in PEC’s infrastructure. It will also take steps to ensure transparency and accountability in PEC.
The members of the working group include Engineers Khalid Mahmood, Muhammad Zeeshan, Najam Waheed, Engineer Iqbal Qureshi and Registrar Nasir Khan.
