JUIN ex-minister passes away

SWABI: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Nazriati leader and former lawmaker Maulana Khalil Ahmad Mukhlis passed away due to cardiac arrest on Sunday.
His funeral prayers were offered in his Madrassa Rashidia in Kotha, and later laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard.He has been running his Madrassa Rashidia since long.
The Maulana had won the National Assembly seat from the then NA-9 Swabi-II during Mutahidda Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) government in the province on Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUIF) ticket.
Later, differences developed between Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl Chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman and Maulama Khalil Ahmad Mukhlis due to some reasons and the latter founded his own faction of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Nazriati.
