ISLAMABAD: Among the means of transportation, the majority of Pakistanis prefer to travel in rickshaws, buses and wagons.
This was revealed in a survey conducted by Gallup Pakistan, in which more than 1,000 people from all over the country participated.
To a question whether they had ever travelled in rickshaws, public transport, or other means of transportation, including trains, 80 percent of respondents said that they used rickshaws for travel, while 18 percent said they did not travel in rickshaws at all and 2 percent did not answer the question.
Some 79 percent said that they prefer to travel in buses, wagons and other public transport, however, 17 percent said that they did not travel in buses and wagons at all, while 4 percent did not answer the question.
As many as 47 percent of the respondents said they traveled by train, while as many said they did not travel by train at all and 6 percent did not answer the question.
To another question about travelling in a cable car and dolly lift in the upper areas of the country, 14 percent of the respondents said that they use cable car or dolly lift, while 73 percent said they did not use the dolly lift at all.
