FC man martyred in Malakand firing
BATKHELA: A personnel of the Frontier Constabulary (FC) martyred when unidentified gunmen opened indiscriminate fire on him in Sherkhana area of Palai in Thana Baizai tehsil in Malakand district on Sunday.
Local sources said that FC man Attaullah, a resident of Sherkhana, had just finished offering prayers at a mosque and was on his way home when unknown assailants opened indiscriminate fire on him.
As a result, Attaullah sustained multiple bullet injuries and embraced martyrdom on the spot.The attackers managed to escape from the scene. The body was sent to Palai Hospital for medico-legal formalities.
The Levies force in Palai in Thana tehsil have registered a case and started an investigation.Meanwhile, the Malakand Levies have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to arrest the culprits.The slain personnel was in his native town on leave. He was posted in Khyber.
