Peshawar lawyer appointed FST member
PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court Bar Association former president and prominent lawyer Behlol Khattak advocate has been appointed as a member of the (Judicial) Federal Service Tribunal.
His appointment has been made for a three-year term after the formal approval by the President of Pakistan.
Behlol Khattak advocate is the son of late noted scholar, writer, and poet Pareshan Khattak. He is considered an expert in constitutional, service, and banking cases, particularly in the Supreme Court.
Previously, he has served as the PHCBA president and deputy attorney general of Pakistan. During the judiciary independence movement in Pervez Musharraf’s era, he also endured imprisonment while actively participating in the struggle. The lawyers in Peshawar have welcomed his appointment as a positive development.
