Matric exam form submission date extended
The deadline for submitting matriculation examination forms has been extended for the second time without incurring a late fee.
Acting Director of Examinations Zaheeruddin Bhutto announced that the new deadline on Wednesday for submitting examination forms for both science and general group students, for Class IX annual exams in 2025, will be from November 6 to November 19, 2024. This extension applied to both regular and private candidates, with government schools also being able to submit their forms within the same period without any late fee.
Bhutto emphasised that this would be the final extension and that no further delays would be allowed for form submission. According to the schedule announced by the provincial education department and relevant authorities, the matriculation exams for 2025 were expected to take place in March.
For students who miss the deadline, a late fee would be charged based on a staggered schedule. From November 20 to December 3, a late fee of Rs 500 would be applied. This would increase to Rs 800 from December 4 to December 17, Rs 1,200 from December 18 to January 1, 2025, Rs 1,500 from January 2 to January 15, Rs 1,800 from January 16 to January 24, and Rs 2,500 after the final date.
