Nargis husband bailed in torture case

LAHORE : Inspector Majid Bashir, accused of torturing his wife, stage and film actor Nargis, has obtained interim bail.

The court has granted interim bail till November 18. Inspector Majid Bashir says his wife is a woman of character. Quarrels happen in every house. Some people are using this incident for character assassination.

“I will take legal action against them. Quarrel is our personal matter. Nargis is still in my Nikah. Quarrels between husband and wife happen in every house. I will also take legal action against those who are throwing mud or trying to do so and will use every tactic that a respectable person would use,” he said.

A case was registered against Inspector Majid Bashir at Police Station Defence C.

DIG Investigation Zeeshan Asghar said investigation of the incident is being conducted on merit.
