India issues visas to 82 Pakistanis for Urs of Nizamuddin Auliya
Pilgrims will leave for Delhi via Wagah border on Saturday (today)
ISLAMABAD: Indian High Commission issued visas to 82 Pakistanis to participate in the five-day Urs celebrations of Khwaja Nizamuddin Auliya and they will leave for Delhi via Wagah border on Saturday.
It should be noted that Pakistani pilgrims have to wait patiently and face difficulties to obtain visas on the occasion of Urs every year and the Indian High Commission also refused to grant visas on several occasions in the past. The pilgrims were in a similar situation till last week, but two days ago, all 82 pilgrims were directed to reach Lahore and visas have been issued today. Looking at the context of Indian foreign minister Jaishankar’s visit to Pakistan and calling it the first good news after the visit of the Indian foreign minister, he is also confirming the visit of the Indian cricket team to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy.
