Senior journalist passes away
KHAR: A senior journalist, Muhammad Khursheed, who had passed away in Peshawar, was laid to rest here Friday.
The family sources said he suffered a heart attack at his office in Peshawar on Thursday night which proved fatal.
The body was shifted to his hometown in Khar. His funeral prayer was offered at the School ground and he was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard.A large number of people attended the last funeral rites of the deceased, who had remained associated with journalism for over thirty years.
He was the brother of Muhammad Saleem, a local correspondent of Daily Mashriq, and Engineer Noorul Basar. Muhammad Jameel (teacher), uncle of Dr Zeeshan, and a cousin of Dr Samiullah and Shahid Iqbal.
Late Muhammad Khursheed started his journalistic career in the English-language newspaper, The Frontier Post, and remained associated with the daily for a long time. He worked with other newspapers as well.
