Zardari, Nawaz woo Fazl on amendments

ISLAMABAD: Just prior to All Parties Conference on solidarity with Palestine, President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, PMLN President and former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and JUIF chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman held the meeting at the President House in which the current political situation with reference of constitutional amendments came under discussion.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar was also present in the meeting. According to sources, President Zardari and Maulana Fazl also held a one-on-one meeting. Sources said in the meeting Zardari and Nawaz sought the support of Maulana Fazl for the constitutional amendments.
While during the press talk on the conclusion of the APC, when journalists asked the question regarding the meeting, Senator Sherry Rehman said that when politicians meet they discuss politics.
When asked about the outcome of the meeting, she said Maulana Fazl had to depart to Karachi on Monday but he rescheduled his visit for the APC, and the sole agenda was the APC. Sources hinted that Maulana Fazl will depart to Karachi for two to three days and on his return, the government delegation will meet him.
