Khwaizai and Baizai get functional sub-divisional offices
PESHAWAR: Khwaizai and Baizai villages in Mohmand tribal district have got functional sub-divisional offices, ending the decades-long struggle for accessible administrative services.
A handout said this development was the result of the efforts of Peshawar Division Commissioner Riaz Khan Mahsud and Mohmand Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Yasir Hassan. It is expected to enhance public service delivery.
The sub-divisional commissioner and line departments’ offices in Khwaizai and Baizai villages had remained non-functional despite the area’s sub-division status. It caused hardships for the local population as residents were forced to travel to Ghalanai for even minor administrative work.
“The people of Khwaizai and Baizai are grateful for this initiative,” said a resident. “We can finally access essential services without the burden of long travel.”The commissioner stated: “The initiations of these offices will facilitate the residents in resolving their issues at the sub-division level.”
