The program began with the recitation of Holy Quran by Sarwat Aslam, after which Yasmeen Salman read the minutes of the previous meeting, followed by the President Wiqarunnisa Boolani who briefed the attendees about the upcoming National Show. A charity fundraiser for Rozan is also included in the show and she requested everyone to contribute for the noble cause and concluded by expressing her thanks to all the executive members, especially Nahida Raza, the Vice President, for putting in their best efforts in preparing for the event. Nahida Raza presented the multi-media show. It was a reinforcement session, the main purpose being to help the members recall what they have already learnt and benefit from while making their exhibits for the National Show. Aisha Zahid, a renowned floral designer, told the members about the do’s and don’ts of floral art and what judges look for in a design.
Asma Ansari in her own knowledgeable way, expressed her thoughts about time management while making a floral exhibit, while Nusrat Bilal, a certified international floral art judge, shared her experiences around the globe. In the end, Aisha Zahid and Asma Ansari gave a critique on the designs created by some of the members. It was quite a comprehensive learning session, encompassing almost everything about floral art. Members asked questions and were answered in detail by the experienced floral designers. As a tradition, birthday girls were given small tokens and the meeting ended with an informal exchange among the members while enjoying refreshments served by Serena Hotel where the meeting was held.
