82 dengue cases reported in 24 hours

LAHORE: The Punjab Health Department Wednesday confirmed that 82 new cases of dengue were recorded across the province during the last 24 hours.

Among the cases, 69 are reported from Rawalpindi, 4 from Lahore and two from Chakwal, one each from Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Mianwali, Mandi Bahauddin, Sargodha and Sahiwal.

During the past week, 459 dengue cases were identified bringing the total number of cases in Punjab in 2024 to 1,245. In response to the rising number of cases, the Health Department has issued an advisory urging the public to maintain clean and dry surroundings to prevent the spread of virus.
