DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A police official and his driver remained unharmed in an improvised explosive device explosion near Atal Sharif on Kulachi-Hathala road on Tuesday.
The police said that Superintendent of Police, Saddar Circle, Khalid Usman Khattak, along with his driver were in the area to review security arrangements for the ongoing anti-polio drive in Kulachi tehsil.
They said that the official also visited the Atal Sharif area and then left for his office when his vehicle was targeted by an IED blast in the Atal Sharif village. However, the blast caused no loss of life or damage to the vehicle.
