Besieged rulers

I cannot understand how the Pakistani authorities hit upon the idea of using freight containers to block free movement of commuters. Every second day, one is irked to come across such blockades obstructing and delaying road movement to offices, schools, hospitals and markets. It definitely does not check the protestors who find ways to circumvent it, but they do project a besieged government in the capital. Please return these containers to the ports where they belong.
