Cop injured in Bajaur firing

KHAR: A police constable sustained injuries when unidentified armed men opened fire on him in Tarkho area in Mamond tehsil in Bajaur tribal district on Saturday.
Police sources said that Constable Rahmatullah was performing duty in Tarkho area when unknown gunmen came and sprayed him with bullets.
As a result, he sustained multiple bullet injuries.
The attackers fled the scene after committing the crime while the injured cop was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
Soon after the incident, a heavy contingent of police rushed to the spot and launched a search operation to apprehend the perpetrators.No militant group or individual has claimed responsibility for the attack.
