ISLAMABAD: Condemning the terrorist attacks in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, former Senate chairman Mian Raza Rabbani has said that the government should summon a joint sitting of Parliament in which an in camera briefing on the surge in acts of terrorism is given.
“The nation stands with the brave security forces and law enforcement agencies; with the help of the entire nation, all manifestations of terrorism will be defeated,” he said in a statement on Tuesday.
Rabbani said that the nation reiterates its resolve to wipe out all forms of terrorism.
He said the attacks which killed civilians and personnel of the security forces are acts aimed at destabilising Pakistan, but such acts should not succeed.
