TTP is Pakistan’s internal problem: Afghan govt spokesman
Zabihullah Mujahid said that if Pakistan wants, they can play the role of mediator between Pakistan and TTP
ISLAMABAD: The spokesman of Afghan government, Zabihullah Mujahid, has described the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as an ‘internal matter’ of Pakistan and offered that if Islamabad wants, Afghanistan can try to mediate between the two sides. In an interview to ‘Independent Urdu’, Zabihullah Mujahid said that if Pakistan wants, they can play the role of mediator between Pakistan and TTP but if Pakistan does not want it, then we cannot mediate.
He said, “Afghanistan wants to have brotherly relations with Pakistan. We do not allow anyone to fight in another country from Afghanistan. We do not like war and will not allow anyone to use Afghan soil against Pakistan or any country.”
He said, “If Pakistan has any information, it should share with us where it has problem with Afghanistan. But blaming in the media spreads hatred among people and creates an atmosphere of distrust and it is harmful because we want better relations with Pakistan.”
