PFF NC issues notices to parallel bodies’ members
KARACHI: The Disciplinary Committee of the Pakistan Football Federation’s (PFF) Normalisation Committee has issued notices to more than 100 individuals for allegedly participating in unauthorised and parallel associations.
Among the people who have been issued notices is Nisha Ashraf, the current goalkeeper of Pakistan women’s football team. Ashraf was nominated to the PFF by her department.The PFF has stated that these notices are to be considered public notices and will be shared on social media platforms and the federation’s official website.
The individuals served with notices are required to respond under Article 70 of the PFF constitution. The list of individuals receiving notices includes those who participated in the 2018 elections.
These elections, although conducted under the directives of the Supreme Court, were not recognised by FIFA and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Additionally, individuals involved in various committees established after the 2021 takeover of the football house have also been notified.
Notable figures among those issued notices are Sikandar Khattak, a former member of the FIFA PFF Normalisation Committee, Syed Ashfaq Hussain Shah, Sardar Naveed, Zahir Shah, Colonel Farasat, football referee Ahmed Jan, Rauf Bari, Naveed Akram, Amir Dogar, Taha Alizai of Karachi United, Zabe Khan, and former Pakistan women’s football team manager Raheela Zameen.Taha Alizai and his club Karachi United withdrew from the National Women Championship following the takeover by the Ashfaq group.
