SC adjourns journalist harassment’s case for indefinite period
Islamabad Police presented before court, progress report pertaining to investigation regarding attacks on journalists
ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court (SC) on Thursday adjourned for date-in-office (indefinite period) hearing in suo motu case regarding harassment of journalists due to shortage of time.
A three-member bench of the apex court headed by Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa heard the case. During the hearing, the Islamabad Police presented before the court, the progress report pertaining to investigation regarding attacks on journalists.
Barrister Salahuddin, counsel for Press Association of Supreme Court (PAS) who appeared before the court through video link from Karachi Registry, told the court that he did not get the copy of the report submitted by the Islamabad Police hence he could not examine it.
Meanwhile, the court directed Salahuddin to examine the report and adjourned further hearing for date-in-office.
