Pakistan, Kazakhstan to cooperate against climate risks
Islamabad: Pakistan and Kazakhstan on Thursday agreed to enhance their cooperation to address climate risks and challenges related to the environment, energy, air pollution, and water scarcity.
The agreement came during a meeting between Romina Khurshid Alam, the Prime Minister’s Climate Change Coordinator, and a delegation from the Kazakhstan Embassy led by Ambassador Yerzhan Kistafin.
The Kazakh envoy conveyed his country's strong interest in increasing people-to-people connections through tourism and engaging in various socio-economic development areas such as bilateral trade, education, research, environmental protection, climate change, disaster risk reduction, renewable energy, and efficient water management.
