Health kits donated to schoolgirls
Islamabad:The Chinese embassy on Wednesday announced the donation of 20,000 health kits to schoolgirls in Balochistan with the objective of their well-being.
Under the theme of 'She Power,' the initiative seeks to advance the use of essential hygiene products and promote a culture of health awareness. The launch ceremony was held at the embassy with by Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong and other dignitaries in attendance. Sardar Ayaz praised the embassy's initiative, emphasising its significant and lasting impact on women's health.
He also acknowledged the Chinese government's generosity in donating a solar system to the parliament and supporting various other initiatives. Expressing optimism about the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, the speaker anticipated a rise in new projects and collaborations. He lauded President Xi Jinping's visionary leadership and recognized China's steadfast commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and fostering sustainable development in Pakistan.
Ambassador Jiang Zaidong described the distribution of health kits as a crucial step toward enhancing health facilities. He highlighted the strengths of both Chinese and Pakistani women and their essential role in boosting economic stability. The ambassador reaffirmed China's dedication to deepening cooperation with Pakistan, in line with the recent visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to China and his productive discussions with Chinese leaders. He also emphasised the importance of agriculture exports for Pakistan's economy and highlighted various CPEC projects, including the Gwadar airport.
