Pak squash players win eight satellite events in seven months

KARACHI: Pakistan’s squash players won eight international satellite events out of 37 they participated in the different parts of the world during January to July this year.

According to details, they played seven events in January in which Huzaifa Ibrahim won DTC Open in the United States and Tayyab Aslam clinched the title of Squash Inspire Series 1 in the US while Abdul Malik stood runner-up.

Fawad Khalil was runner-up in the Play Squash Academy Series 1 in the US and Tayyab Aslam won the title of Life Time King of Prussia Squash Tournament in the US.

In February, they played five events and Tayyab Aslam won the title of Squash Inspire Series 2 in the US and Fawad Khalil stood runner-up in the Play Squash Academy Satellite Series Two Mclean in the US. Ashan Ayaz won the title of HSC Satellite in the US and Huzaifa Ibrahim stood runner-up.

In March, they played 10 events and Saeed Abdul emerged winner while Huzaifa Ibrahim stood runner-up in the Life Time Plano Satellite in the US. Huzaifa Ibrahim stood runner-up in the HSC Satellite Open 2 in the US.

In April, they played five events and Saddam ul Haq won Jahangir Khan PSA Satellite Series in Karachi while Ashar Butt stood runner-up. Huzaifa Ibrahim won the HSC Satellite in the US and Owais Mastoor stood runner-up. In May, they played three events and Kaleem Khan stood runner-up in the Play Squash Academy Satellite Tysons Series in the US.
