The 350-megawatt Jhimpir Wind and Solar Hybrid Project will be completed in 15 months.
Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah made the announcement to this effect as he chaired a meeting of the energy department regarding the power projects. Officials informed the energy minister that the Jhampir power project would provide cheap electricity to the industries of Sindh and 36 wind turbines would be installed in the project.
Nasir said each turbine would generate seven megawatts of electricity. He added that the cost of the Jhimpir Wind and Solar Hybrid Project had been estimated at Rs120.865 billion.
