DG Khan Cement to establish subsidiary in US
KARACHI: DG Khan Cement has decided to establish a subsidiary company in the US. In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Friday, the company said: “The board of directors of DG Khan Cement Company Limited has accorded approval to management to explore the opportunity to establish a wholly owned subsidiary of the company in Houston, Texas, US under the proposed name of ‘DG Cement USA LLC’, subject to all applicable regulatory approvals under the laws of Pakistan and the US.”
DG Khan Cement Company Limited, (DGKCC) is amongst Pakistan’s largest cement manufacturers with a production capacity of 22,400 tonnes per day (6.72 million tonnes/annum). DGKCC has four cement plants: two located in Dera Ghazi Khan; one in Khairpur, District Chakwal; and one in Hub, District Lasbela. All the plants are based on the latest dry process technology.
