Karachi college lecturer held for ‘blackmailing’ female officer

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) apprehended a college lecturer on Thursday for allegedly blackmailing a female officer of the Education Department through social media.
The Cybercrime Circle of the FIA conducted a raid in the Balida Town area, leading to the arrest of the suspect, identified as Abbasi. It was reported that Abbasi had been persistently harassing the female officer on social media platforms over an extended period.
During the raid, objectionable videos of the victim were recovered from Abbasi’s mobile phone. A case has been filed against the lecturer, and further investigations are underway. The FIA’s Cybercrime Circle took action following the complaint lodged by the victim, underscoring the seriousness with which such cases are handled.
