Regent Plaza Hotel building handed over to SIUT
SIUT has not yet issued any statement regarding the start of the facilities at the hospital

KARACHI: The Regent Plaza Hotel’s building has been handed over to the Sindh Institute of Urology & Transplantation (SIUT), following which a banner reading “SIUT Trust Hospital” was put up on the building on Saturday evening.
Now a big hotel in Karachi will work as a major hospital, but the SIUT has not yet issued any statement regarding the start of the facilities at the hospital.
The matter of purchasing this hotel located on Sharea Faisal had come to light in September last year, when a letter of offer to buy the hotel for Rs14.5 billion had surfaced, following which the payments continued. Now the hospital has finally been handed over to the SIUT Trust.
