Water supply restored after repair work on two lines completed

On the instructions of Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab, the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) completed the repair work of the 48-inch MS rising main line at the University of Karachi on Sunday.
A spokesman for the water corporation said that following special instructions of the mayor, KWSC officials completed the repair work within 28 hours and started supplying water from the University Reservoir to District Central, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Scheme 33 and Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
Meanwhile, repair work on the 66-inch MS rising main at the Hub Pumping Station, which was damaged due to power outage, has also been completed after which water supply from the Hub Pumping Station to Karachi has been restored.
