Judges called ‘black sheep’ are no more there: PM
PM said if he made same speech 50 days ago, there would have been fewer people who believed and trusted
LAHORE: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction over the response to his speech on the completion of 100 days of government.
Talking to “Jang” on Saturday, Prime Minister said if he had made the same speech 50 days ago, there would have been fewer people who believed and trusted. “Today the situation is different, there are many people who trust and those who support are not less”, he said.
Shehbaz Sharif said in 50 days there would have been less people who believed because much work was not done. Now in a hundred days, we have improved the economy and economic conditions, the Premier claimed. “We are moving towards the destination”, he said.,
In these 100 days, he said, he and his team had planned and worked tirelessly. He said he visited Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and China and brought inspiration and investment from there.
A deal worth $10 billion has been signed with the UAE, preparation of CPEC-2 from China is complete and big investment will come from Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Kuwait.
“That is why the speech was trusted”, the PM said. Shehbaz Sharif said SIFC had a major role in these achievements. Army Chief General Asim Munir was with him at every stage and occasion, he said. Those who want Pakistan to be prosperous have trusted and appreciated the determination and courage of government.
When asked why did he express concern that whenever ecomony begins to take off, one obstacle or another rears its head, Shehbaz said it has happened in the past and Nawaz Sharif’s governments are its example. He said every patriot wants country’s prosperity. “The judges he had referred to are no more there, and those termed black sheep must have got it”, he remarked. The PM said when his government is doing good, everyone would support. He said all coalition partners supported the government. If one considers the example of 100 days, he can imagine where the country would be in 1,000 days, the PM added. The PM said he had a positive interaction with JUIF chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman.
