Ayyan nominated in Custom Inspector’s murder case

RAWALPINDI: The Waris Khan Police on orders of the court nominated super model Ayyan Ali who is allegedly involve in money laundering case, as accused in murder case of main witness Custom Inspector Chaudhry Ijaz.

According to details Mst. Saima Ijaz widow of deceased Custom Inspector filed an application in the court of District and Sessions Judge Rawalpindi Khalid Naveed Dar saying that Police Station Waris Khan despite registration of case did not record her statement.

Yesterday Sub Inspector of PS Waris Khan Syed Manzar Abbas Naqvi appeared before the court and informed that Investigation Officer of this case Mazhar Hussain has been dismissed and now I have been deputed as IO of this case.

On this the court inquired that whether the statement of widow has been recorded or not, the IO informed the court that her statement has not been recorded so far. On which the court ordered to record her statement by 2 pm and submit report in this record.

Following the court order the IO recorded her statement saying that prior to this neither her statement was recorded by the police nor made any statement before the court.

She further said in her statement that my deceased husband was under severe mental pressure. Quoting her husband statement she said that my husband told me that I am being threatened of dire consequences for not cooperating in the investigation case of super model Ayyan Ali.

She said that I have strong doubt that Ayyan Ali is allegedly involve in the murder of her husband. Later on the order of the judge and in the light of widow's statement Ayyan Ali was declared an accused in the case.

The plaintiff of the case and brother of deceased custom inspector Chaudhry Riaz has also endorsed the statement of his brother's wife adding that pressure was mounted on my brother and threat of dire consequences were given. He expressed the suspicion that super model Ayyan is allegedly involve in the murder of his brother.

He further said that after firing when we shifted our brother in Benazir Bhutto Hospital the custom inspector Zargham Gul and Dr. Haroon were present in the hospital although Dr. Haroon was not on duty however he took his injured brother in operation theater and locked the door inside.

After sometimes Dr. Haroon came and told that operation has been completed successfully and later the death of his brother had confirmed, he added.

He prayed the court that Custom Inspector Zargham Gul and Dr. Haroon should be included in the investigation.
