Education reform

Education is one of the key pillars upon which the edifice of the entire nation or state is built. It strengthens the state in terms of progress and prosperity and paves the way for generating new for the younger generations. Unless we take concrete steps to improve our fragile education system, achieving our desired objectives will be a hard nut to crack. In Balochistan, different options have been utilized to improve the substandard education system. Some of the elected provincial governments introduced reforms to boost the education sector but due to a lack of seriousness behind these innovative measures, no worthwhile success could be seen in the field.

The current government led by CM Sarfaraz Bugti is also in pursuit of reforms in the educational arena and some strict steps have also been taken in this regard. However, the main thing that the government needs to focus on is to curb cheating and promote transparency and merit. Until such malpractices are overcome and merit is maintained, any improvement in the quality of education will remain a dream.
