Heatwave persists

LAHORE:Heatwave continued to prevail in the City though the mercury slightly come down as on Sunday it was 43°C while Met office predicted similar weather conditions for the next 24 hours.
Met officials said continental air was prevailing over most parts of the country. They predicted that mainly hot weather was expected in most parts of country while very hot in plain areas. Rain-windstorm/thunderstorm was expected at isolated places in Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Islamabad, Pothohar Region, northeast Punjab and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.
Sunday’s maximum temperature was recorded at Turbat where mercury reached 48°C, while in Lahore, it was 43°C and minimum was 27°C.
