Bakery prices cut: minister
LAHORE: After the clear reduction in the prices of flour, roti and naan, the Punjab government has announced reducing prices of bakery products, said Food Minister Bilal Yasin.
According to the details, after negotiations with the representatives of the bakery association and various brands, a reduction of Rs30 has been made on the large bread, while the large bread available at less than Rs200 is being reduced by Rs20. The minister said that a discount of Rs10 has been given on small bread and Rs5 on all kinds of buns. A decrease of Rs10 for 200 grams of rusk is announced while the prices of all types of bakery products were reduced significantly. The minister said that the new prices of bakery products would be implemented immediately and price reduction would be applied on all brands and local bakery products across the province.
He said that it would be the responsibility of Punjab Food Authority to maintain quality and ensure availability of the products on the reduced prices. He said that the district administration, industries and food department would ensure implementation of prices.
JICA team meets health ministers
A delegation of JICA Pakistan called on Provincial Health Ministers Khawaja Salman Rafique and Khawaja Imran Nazir here at Project Management Unit (PMU).
Health Secretary Ali Jan Khan, Additional Technical Secretary Dr Hafiz Shahid Latif and the administration of Children’s Hospital Multan administration were present. Provincial Health Ministers Khawaja Salman Rafique and Khawaja Imran Nazir discussed with the JICA Pakistan delegation about the four-storied complex at Children's Hospital Multan. The JICA Pakistan delegation appreciated the improvement plans of the Health Department.
Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique said that we welcome JICA delegation of Pakistan and appreciate the offer of cooperation for the four-storied complex at Children's Hospital, Multan. Diagnostic, radiology and other treatment facilities will be available for patients in the complex of Children's Hospital Multan. On this occasion, Khawaja Imran Nazir said that we will start building the complex in Children's Hospital Multan next year, Inshallah. The capacity and efficiency of Children Hospital Multan is going to increase.
Punjab Health Secretary Ali Jan Khan said that an agreement would be reached with JICA Pakistan next week.Meanwhile, Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique said in his message on Takbeer Day that on this day Nawaz Sharif made Pakistan invincible and fulfilled his great promise. Today we promise to make Pakistan more stable.
