Attack on Imran: Three accused indicted, two acquitted
Imran and other PTI leaders were injured when the accused opened fire on them in Wazirabad in November 2022

GUJRANWALA: A local court has acquitted two accused involved in an attack on PTI Chairman Imran Khan during the PTI long march in Wazirabad, while charges have been framed against three accused including Naveed.
Imran and other PTI leaders were injured when the accused opened fire on them in Wazirabad in November 2022.
Police had arrested the main accused Naveed, Tayyab, Waqas Butt, Ahsan Nazir and Mudassir Nazir. During the hearing, allegations against the two accused could not be proved and a witness gave his statement that they were not present at the place where the attack planning was made. The ATC acquitted Ahsan Nazir and Mudassir Nazir. The hearing was adjourned till May 25.
