A man has been accused of injuring his wife and daughter in an acid attack in the Saeedabad area of Baldia Town.
Police said the woman, Iqra, had been staying at her aunt’s house near Sher Shah Pankha Hotel for three days, adding that she left with her husband to get some necessary items from their home in the Hub Chowki area.
She claimed that her husband Ameen stopped his motorbike under the pretence of offering a prayer at his mother’s grave, but then he took out a bottle of acid and attacked her. “The acid attack injured both my daughter and me,” said Iqra. They were taken to a hospital by some locals. Police have registered a case against Ameen on Iqra’s complaint.
