MULTAN: Unidentified motorcycle riders gunned down a journalist in Muzaffargarh on Wednesday, witnesses said.
Journalist Ishfaq Ahmed Sial had been working for an Urdu newspaper for a long and would often report on Iranian oil smuggled. The shooters intercepting Sial and shot him in his heart after identifying him. Ishfaq Sial was shifted to DHQ Hospital Muzaffargarh in critical condition where he died. A large number of journalists also reached the hospital where his post-mortem was conducted. The Multan Union of Journalists (MUJ) held a meeting at Multan Press Club and strongly condemned the murder and termed it a targeted killing, demanding immediate arrest of the killers.
