Roaming leopard creates fear in Lower Dir
CHAKDARA: A leopard has been seen roaming in Adenzai tehsil in Lower Dir district at nighttime for the last several days, creating fear among the people. A resident, Wali Khan, reported to the Asbanr Police Station that a big cat has been roaming and growling at night that has panicked the dwellers.He said that the leopard was roaring while wandering around the locality and a video was filmed and was being circulated on social media. The resident asked the police to take steps for catching the big cat as people in the vicinity were feeling fear of being attacked by the dangerous animal. The police confirmed the presence of the leopard in the area and its video walking here and there with different sounds like roaring, growling, chuffing and moaning at various times at night. They said the Wildlife Department had been informed about the presence of the big cat in the area.Meanwhile, the residents asked the Wildlife Department to take immediate steps to catch the cat or else they would shoot the animal in case the inhabitants or their endangered
