Federal govt to depute FC in AJK to protect power plants, Chinese nationals
Federal government has decided to depute the FC in Azad Jammu and Kashmir for foolproof security of power plants and Chinese citizens working on different projects

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decided to depute the Frontier Constabulary (FC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir for foolproof security of power plants and Chinese citizens working on different projects.
According to official sources, the prime minister also allowed for securing approval of the federal cabinet to depute the FC in the AJK. The AJK government had requested the federal government to post the FC force in AJK, particularly for security of Neelum Jhelum Power House, Mangla Power House and Gulpur Power House.
The main purpose for deputation of the FC force in the AJK would be to provide foolproof security to Chinese citizens. Initially, six platoons of FC would be posted in the AJK for a period of three months.
