Major road blocked in Mansehra due to landslides

MANSEHRA: The artery linking the Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad road with the tourist resort of Shogran was blocked to all sorts of traffic following heavy landslides on Monday.
The fresh spell of rain continued to lash in Mansehra, Torghar, Upper Kohistan, Lower Kohistan and Kolai-Palas, turning the weather chillier.
The Karakoram Highway, which was blocked at Kandia Chowk and the Loter area, was cleared to traffic by the Frontier Works Organization. Swat and Shangla districts continued to receive rain on Monday brining the mercury level down.
The rain in the provincial capital of Peshawar inundated several roads. The water level in the Budhni Nullah on the Charsadda Raod rose high that raised alarm in the people living in the nearby localities.
