HEC asks youth to showcase digital art skills
Islamabad : The Higher Education Commission has invited young digital artists with a passion for rich cultural themes to showcase their talent for a chance to win the ECO Youth Award, which includes a $1000 cash prize.
It said students’ designs should be original, creative, and effectively communicate a message that contributes to the heritage and culture of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) region, reflecting its diverse and rich traditions.
They can submit their works on the ECOCI's website https://www.ecieco.org/
en/special/ecoyouthaward. by May 15, 2024.
The ECO Youth Award initiative aims to discover new talents and further promote the ECO Cultural Institute (ECOCI). The proposal focuses on a constructive and purposeful competition within each member nation to introduce talented nominees aged between eighteen to thirty years. As there is one winner from each member nation, there will be no competition between countries.
The ECO Youth Award will be presented annually to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding contributions or achievements in research projects, arts (preferably regional), sociability, sports, or culture, particularly those that contribute to the aims and objectives of the ECO Cultural Institute (ECOCI).
The call for nominations will be published on the ECOCI website, and the Ministry of Culture of each ECO member country will nominate up to three individuals who have already registered on the ECOCI website.
The Award Committee, comprising the Cultural Attachés of ECO member countries in Tehran, will judge and select one winner from each country.
