KARACHI: Pakistan State Oil (PSO) and Pakistan Railways (PR) have jointly inaugurated two cutting-edge Upgraded Railways Filling and Storage Facilities in a momentous event, a statement said on Friday.
The ceremony, attended by Mazhar Ali Shah (Chairman/Secretary PR), Syed Taha (Managing Director & CEO PSO), and Amir Baloch (CEO/Senior GM PR), marks a significant milestone in the longstanding relationship between these two national entities.
The successful completion of Phase-I of the Facilities Modernization and Upgradation (FMS) project underscores the strategic collaboration spanning over four decades. These upgraded facilities, strategically located in Karachi and Lahore, are equipped with state-of-the-art technologies, including flowmeters and calibrated storage tanks and tank wagons.
These advancements promise enhanced operational efficiency and safety standards, revolutionizing the transportation landscape and ensuring unparalleled reliability and service quality for customers across Pakistan.
Shah, chairman/secretary of Pakistan Railways, emphasised the critical role of these upgraded facilities in fortifying the nation's transportation infrastructure. “The introduction of these upgraded facilities represents a pivotal step forward in our mission to fortify the nation's transportation infrastructure.
