FAISALABAD: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PMLN) senior leader Saad Rafique on Thursday called for restoring social media. He was of the view that the battle of politics should be fought solely through political means.
Meanwhile, the Sindh High Court (SHC) directed the interior ministry to withdraw the X closure notification, setting one week deadline for compliance of the order. The provincial apex court also asked the interior ministry to submit reasons behind the closure of X, formerly known as Twitter by May 9.
The SHC chief justice remarked by and large there was no reason for imposing a ban on X. He said that there was nothing in the Constitution about implementing reports of intelligence agencies.
