Six-party opposition alliance will meet for its future course of action in Lahore under the auspices of the Sunni Ittehad Council on April 29
ISLAMABAD: The six-party opposition alliance will meet for its future course of action in Lahore under the auspices of the Sunni Ittehad Council on April 29.
SIC Chairman Hamid Raza announced this on Thursday during a media talk along with PTI’s Rauf Hasan, Shibli Faraz and Muzammil Aslam outside the Adiala jail after a meeting with the PTI founder Imran Khan.
Hamid said Imran had given guidelines regarding the upcoming meeting and future strategy, which would be placed before the proposed forum, as they planned protests and public meetings in Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in near future.
He noted that the date of next public meeting, to be held in Punjab, would be announced within two days. He added that Imran Khan had denied in categorical terms that Saudi Arabia had played any role in the regime change operation. Speaking on the occasion, PTI Central Information Secretary Raoof Hasan claimed that their struggle was in its final phase and that soon Imran would be out and become the prime minister again. “We have achieved victory and our enemies have lost. Now only announcement is pending and the rivals are using delaying options but can’t deny our victory. Very soon there will be positive signals from all institutions,” he claimed. He pointed out that Imran Khan laid emphasis on pursuing a more vibrant and aggressive media policy. He said that some more important facts, which might have not been highlighted before, would be focused upon. Raoof Hasan said that initial steps would be taken within a week. Adviser on Finance to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government Muzammil Aslam said Imran Khan had expressed complete ignorance about the statement attributed to him regarding Saudi Arabia, having a role in regime change operation against then PTI government.
